7/29/08
The second closed-book exam will have the same format as the first closed-book exam. It covers material starting with the cutoff for the first exam (start with temperature inversions) and ends with the end of Tuesday lecture (health effects of ozone layer depletion). The exam will be given during the second hour of the Thursday's class.
The first hour of Thursday's class will be some talk on the ozone layer and global climate change, followed by about 10-15 minutes to do the instructor evaluations. None of this lecture material will be on the closed-book exam that follows.
The keys for all of the quizzes are or will be posted on the quiz page.
7/23/08
Lab assignment #2 is due Thursday, July 24th.
The second take-home quiz will be distributed in class on Thursday, July 24th and is due Tuesday July 29th.
The next in-class quiz (#6) will be given Thursday, July 24th.

The next in-class quiz (#4) will be given Thursday, July 17th.

Keys for the latest quizzes are posted on the quiz page.
The first closed-book exam will be given during the second hour of this Thursday's class (July 10, 2008). The first hour will be a regular lecture (the material from this hour will not be on this first exam).
You do not need to bring any special answer sheets, since you will write directly in the exam booklet.

The first take-home quiz was be distributed on Thursday, July 3rd, and is due Tuesday, July 8th. You can print out a copy from the quiz page.

The third in-class quiz will be given at the end of lecture on Thursday, July 3, 2008.
Makeup in-class quizzes can now be done before the next lecture starts, as well as during the mid-class break of that next lecture. Just show up about 15 minutes before 1:00 at the lecture room if you want to do it before class starts.
The first take-home quiz will be distributed on Thursday, July 3rd, and will be due Tuesday, July 8th.

Summer Session A classes begin during the week of June 23-27, 2008. Our first lecture is on Tuesday, June 24th.
