Our research involves understanding the mechanism that moves equatorially trapped electrons to higher latitudes at Jupiter so that they precipitate into the atmosphere and generate the aurora.

I graduated from Rutgers
University in with a B.A. in physics and a B.S. in mechanical engineering
and have an MS from this Department.
My work experience includes six years at JPL in the Science Data Processing Systems Section developing and testing s/w and three years at the Space Telescope Science Institute performing s/w calibration. I am married to Dr. Bryan Penprase, an astronomy professor at Pomona College in Claremont, CA. Bryan has posted some wonderful pictures of our daughter, Shanti, at his web site.
