Bjorn Stevens ... dycoms-ii Data Archive: This link is to the full data archive maintained by JOSS. All of the data collected during the experiment: including select satellite data, measurements of opportunity, dropsondes, buoy, and other data are archived here.
Field Catalog: During field operations an image archive was maintained. This primarily consists of a wide range of satellite imagery, but also forecast products, back trajectories, etc. The field catalog allows one to browse across days and platforms to get a sense of the synoptic evolution, and setting during the course of the field program. Images can be animated to show temporal evolution.
JOSS Site: This is the main DYCOMS-II site maintained by the Joint Office for Scientific Support. It provides links to the field catalog, data archive, mission reports and summaries, along with a range of other things.
Research Aviation Facility site: The research aviation facility was responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and its data systems during DYCOMS. This site provides links to the aircraft data tapes, as well as data summaries which review the performance of different instruments through the course of the project.
University of Wyoming: Investigators from the University of Wyoming were in charge of deploying the cloud radar during DYCOMS. This site summarizes there participation. Also on the site is an excellent photo archive courtesy of Gabor Vali.
GCSS-DIME: The GCSS DIME Project collects large-scale information in support of field data used as test beds for the GCSS working group studies. This site has a special DYCOMS page, which provides links to subsetted satellite analyses of the larger DYCOMS area.
GCSS RF01: This site presents the intercomparison study of RF01, used to study entrainment and stratiform cloudiness as represented by LES and single column models.
GCSS RF02: This site presents the intercomparison study of RF02, used to study precipitation and its representation by LES and single column models.
