Me: Almost nothing to talk about
I was born in May 1967, in Chongqing - one of the hotest cities
in China. I had spent 17 years there before I went to
Peking University.
is a very beautiful
university. I spent the most wonderful time of my life there. Also
I got to know my husband during those four years study at Peking University.
So, you see, I obtained even more than what I had expected - a wonderful
man, sweet memories, useful knowledge, as well as a B. S. degree in
Geophysics.
Then I went to Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences right after I
graduated from Peking University in 1988 to go on with my graduate program.
I got my M. S. in Meteorology in 1991, and I worked there as an assistant
researcher (or engineer) for three years.
Well, I got bored working there. I thought about going to a strange palce
and learning something new. So here I am, now in U.S.A. I don't know how
others think about it here. But I really don't like it, especially the
life style. But, it's funny that I don't want to go back to China either
becuz I do love the freedom I sense in U.S.A. So, anyway, this is my
fourth year here.
I became a Ph.D Candidate in Meteorology at
University of Utah in 1997.
I thought I could get my Ph.D degree in one more year. But, I had to
transfer to UCLA, Dept of Atmos. Sci.,
Winter Quarter 1998 becuz my boss transfered here. Now, I need two more years
to graduate according to UCLA's policy :(.
