Hello All,
This is a heads up on the Office of Naval Research summer internship program. Undergraduate and graduate students receive a $5,500 and $6,500 stipend (respectively) for their ten week stay at a national laboratory. Last summer, we hosted a number of students here at NRL Monterey in the fields of meteorology and environmental sciences with great success and would like to get the word out for potential applicants for this summer. Students typically are assigned their own project to manage. Students at least completing their junior year and with programming skills are encouraged to apply for meteorology work. Our group in particular in interested in students interested in transport meteorology, aerosol science, radiative transfer, pollution, and ecology. Both modeling and analysis of field data is performed. The deadline is coming up quick-January 15th so please post this as soon as convenient.
Many thanks,
Jeff
